The Surgical Transition
A 2.5-day small-group implant confidence course for restorative dentists ready to begin placing implants responsibly — with confidence, structure, and expert guidance.
This is where dentists learn how to think surgically before they place.
Course Days
Day 1 — Surgical Thinking & Case Planning
CBCT review, risk assessment, prosthetic-driven planning, treatment sequencing, and identifying appropriate cases for early implant providers.
Day 2 — Live Patient Learning & Surgical Workflow
Observe and/or participate in live patient implant surgery with Dr. Bean teaching in real time. Surgical flow, tissue handling, implant positioning, decision-making.
Day 3 (Half Day) — Debrief & Implementation
Restorative considerations, follow-up systems, implementation at the dentist’s home office, and case selection going forward.

Advanced Implant Mastery
The premier live surgical mentorship course for dentist already placing implants who want to improve outcomes, reduce complications, and understanding the biological and prosthetic principles that support long-term success.
This is not a beginner implant course.

DAY 1 - FAILURE PREVENTION AND CASE MASTERY
Clinical patterns leading to complications: soft tissue broken down, bone loss, poor positioning, food traps, restorative limitations and case selection errors.
DAY 2 - ZERO BONE LOSS CONCEPTS AND ADVANCED PLANNING
Biological stability, implant section, prosthetic-driven placement, implant-abutment connection, tissue response platform switching and planning for long term success.
DAY 3 - LIVE PATIENT SURGICAL MENTORSHIP
Live patient surgical experience with Dr. Bean providing real time guidance, advanced clinical insight, and immediate feedback. Detailed surgical debrief to close.

Dr. Jackson Bean brings a rare combination of surgical experience, restorative understanding, digital workflow mastery, and practical private- practical insight – developed through a career of training with the world’s best implant surgeons.
He has trained with global legends including Professor Dr. Carl Misch, Dr. Paulo Malo (inventor of All-on-4 / Teeth in a Day), and his career long mentor, Dr. Bruce Baird. He completed both Level 1 and Advanced Level 2 fellowships in Immediate Dentoalveolar Restoration with Dr. Martins da Rosa of Brazil, and a one-year Periodental/Implant Fellowship – including the novel Minimally Invasive Tunnelling Procedure – under Dr. Sam Lee of San Diego.
In November 2025, Dr. Bean was invited to join the Noris Medical Global Expert Faculty. In early 2026, he was named co-host of the former #1 dental podcast. He is faculty at the Productive Dentist Academy, one of under 50 globally named a Zero Bone Loss Concepts Ambassador, and is building a surgery center and teaching facility in Greenville, TX.

Do I need to already be placing implants to join PDM core?
No. PDM core is a foundation-level program focused on productivity, treatment planning, communication, and case acceptance. It is ideal for dentists at any stage who want to lead a more comprehensive, productive practice. Surgical training comes in Levels 2 and 3.
What is the difference between The Surgical Transition and Advanced Implant Mastery?
The Surgical Transition is designed for restorative dentists who are ready to begin placing implants – it focuses on case selection, surgical thinking, risk assessment, and establishing a safe, repeatable workflow for early implant cases. Advanced Implant Mastery is for dentists already placing implants who wants to reduce complications, understand Zero Bone Loss Concepts, refine their technique, and improve long-term outcomes.
How many dentists are in each course?
The Surgical Transition is intentionally small — 4 to 6 dentists per cohort — to ensure direct mentorship and meaningful hands-on time. Advanced Implant Mastery accommodates 10 to 12 dentists. PDM Core is an online curriculum with no cohort size limit, though live sessions encourage active participation
Will Dr. Bean personally be teaching the courses?
Yes. Dr. Bean is present and personally teaching every course. There are no surrogate instructors. The entire point of this pathway is direct mentorship — dentists learn from someone actively practicing at a high level in a private practice environment.
Are CE credits available?
CE eligibility is being finalized prior to launch. Please contact us directly for the most current information on continuing education credits for each program level.
Where are the in-person courses held?
Courses are hosted at Dr. Bean’s practice and surgical training center in Greenville, TX, and at partner training facilities. Advanced Implant Mastery courses are also offered internationally through the Noris Medical global faculty program.
I am a dental student or new graduate. Is PDM core right for me?
